Learning using modern technology
At CIS we believe that through the use of modern technology we can make learning more efficient, fun and motivating. Computers and tablets are a normal part of a student’s everyday life, and should also be a natural part of life at school.
At CIS each student is given an iPad to use at school and at home. The iPads allow the teacher to have a multitude of resources to use in the classroom and to supplement learning. The iPads also provide both a group learning environment and an individual differentiated learning environment for those students that have higher skills in a subject.
«One of the main advantages that I have found is that the children are enthusiastic and excited about using the iPad. Any projects or homework that includes the iPad seems to spark the students interest a bit more and helps to make them more involved. The apps I have found for telling time, multiplication tables, and learning geography make tasks more interesting and fun for the students. They say «learning this is fun!» That is wonderful for a teacher to hear.»
